The World Blind Union (WBU) and Global Disability Innovation Hub, with the support of the AT2030 Programme and CBM Switzerland, are inviting key partners and allies working on inclusive and accessible cities and communities to co-create and co-host a pavilion in the exhibition area of the World Urban Forum 12, taking place in Cairo, Egypt from 4 – 8 November 2024. This pavilion will help showcase our collective work in promoting inclusion and accessibility in urban environments, offering a platform for sharing learnings, practices, and innovations.

Introduction
What is WUF 12?
The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization and is the monitoring mechanism for the New Urban Agenda for Sustainable Urban Development (NUA). The 12th Session of WUF is hosted by UN-Habitat together with the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and will take place in Cairo, between November 4 – 8, 2024. The Forum theme is ‘It all starts at home’: Local Actions for Sustainable Cities and Communities. The WUF 12 Background Paper sets the scope and focus of the forum. It is centred around 6 dialogue themes:
- Housing our future
- Cities and climate crisis
- Stronger together
- Financing localization and local finance
- Putting people first in the digital age
- The loss of home
