The National Union of the Blind of Niger (UNAN) is an organization created for the protection, promotion, and social integration of blind and visually impaired individuals. It is a non-profit association, established on February 20, 1974, and authorized by decree No. 153 / MI / DAPA / on October 30, 1974, under the name "Association for the Promotion of the Blind of the Republic of Niger (ANPA)," which was changed by decree No. 172 / MDI / DAPJ on October 28, 1988, to become the National Union of the Blind of Niger (known as UNAN).
