The National Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Congo (UNAMAC) was created on September 21, 2003, in Brazzaville, by the initiative of the African Union of the Blind (UAFA) and the Ministry of Social Affairs of Congo. This organization, for and by the blind, is represented in all regions of Congo, with its headquarters in Brazzaville. UNAMAC is a rights advocacy organization for blind and visually impaired individuals, working to improve their living conditions.
