Harry joined WBU as the Human Rights Policy Advisor in November 2022. A passionate advocate for social justice, and a holder of a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law from Leeds University, he brings over a decade of experience in human rights and sustainable development.
His global experience includes significant contributions to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva, where he played a key role in developing General Comment No.6 (2018) on equality and non-discrimination. Additionally, Harry volunteered for 9 years with the Malawi Union of the Blind, providing technical support in disability rights advocacy, programme design, and capacity building for local OPDs.
Harry’s blend of international and grassroots experience, coupled with his dedication to human rights, makes him a valuable asset in advancing the rights of persons who are blind and promoting inclusive development globally.
