The World Blind Union is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The World Blind Union (WBU) is the international voice of blind and partially sighted persons, representing over 338 million people worldwide through its members and six Regional Unions. WBU advances human rights, accessibility, inclusion, and global collaboration, working closely with the United Nations and other international bodies.
About the Role
The CEO is the chief executive of WBU and is responsible for translating the organization’s vision and mission into strategic leadership, operational effectiveness, and global influence.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO leads:
- Organizational leadership and strategic planning
- Global advocacy and partnerships
- Financial management and fundraising
- Governance and operational oversight
- Staff leadership and organizational development
The CEO serves as WBU’s primary representative and public voice, helping strengthen the organization’s global visibility and impact.
